Is the American dream really dead? What really makes the different between a "have" and a "have not"? In Progressivism: Our Road to Serfdom, authors Zester and Marilyn Hatfield examine these questions and others in light of the historic realities of who we are, where we have come from, and where we are going in relation to wages, job security, full employment, personal wealth accumulation, and personal freedoms.

The Hatfields discuss the causes and history behind the current failing economy and present a step-by-step understanding of how to rebuild our God-given capitalist foundations with greater success. It takes a candid look at how new wealth is created by current and advancing technologies. Moreover, it reveals the secrets and the inner workings of progressive socialism-the political and ideological barrier that stands between those who love America and the republic's limited form of government.

Progressivism: Our Road to Serfdom presents a fascinating story of how wealth is created and its effect on all Americans-wage earners, small business owners, and equity owners both large and small. It demonstrates how the Constitution gives all Americans the unalienable right to prosper from their own labor and capital possessions.

From the supplier: Friedrich Hayek's book 'The Road to Serfdom' anticipated the detrimental effects of big government in the West. Hayek felt a reliance on big government and an increase in power and duties for the public sector would cause free nations such as the US and the UK to disintegrate the way fascist Germany and Communist Russia did. Hayek believed that growth in government was inversely proportional to a decrease in individual freedom.
